Diwali Lights Switch On
Diwali has been celebrated in Leicester for many years. It is the largest celebration of the event, outside of India. Each year in the city, lights are turned on to mark the event with people attending from all over the world. The Lord Mayor had the proud moment in October 2008 to turn on the lights in front of an estimated crowd of 40,000 people. The links below detail the event:
