Councillor Sood was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Law from Leicester University on Tuesday 8th July 2008 for her tireless dedicated work for communities and people for the City of Leicester.
Cllr Sood was thrilled with the accolade and it was special receiving it from the university where she studied over 30 years ago.
